About Ann
I earned a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from Northern Illinois University and a Masters in Community Counseling from DePaul University. My undergraduate degree is from the University of Wisconinsin-Madison.
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Illinois and have experience in private practice, agencies, higher education, and group practice. I currently teach and supervise masters counseling students and doctoral level counselor education and supervision students. My research is focused on trauma-informed care in counselor education, the use of relational-cultural theory in supervision, and skill development of beginning counselors.
I lived and worked in Chicago for 20 years before relocating to Lake County, Illinois. In my personal life, I spend most of my time with my family, enjoy biking and walking in the forest preserves, and love finding new parks to explore.

Consultation
Online or in-person, this time will be spent providing consultation for counseling professionals in areas of clinical work, supervision, organizational management, or theory application.
Fee based on structure of consultation sessions
Training
Online or in-person, training sessions are offered in accordance with group practices and organizations needs.
